This could be a tricky, moody time as we approach a partial solar eclipse in Virgo on Sunday, motivating Mars enters broody Scorpio, and the Sun joins Mercury in Libra on Monday.
As the weekend begins, we’ll need to incorporate new information, a radical change in perspective, or a strong desire for a change in scenery while Mercury forms a grand trine with Pluto and Uranus while it opposes Saturn. The Moon and the Sun follow in this setting off the same grand trine/opposition early next week.
With these grand trines, we see where changes need to be made- but may not agree on what that looks like.
On Friday it could help soothe the roiling waters when both Moon and Venus leave Leo, toning down some of the performative emotional excesses we've seen in the news, and enter thoughtful but prickly Virgo, helping us think things through more carefully.
Virgo symbolically rules the guts, so Sunday’s Virgo New Moon- solar eclipse asks us to learn from our guts; absorb nutrients and release the crap. It may be hard not to focus on the crap, but, instead, look for the nutrients abounding.

This Virgo new Moon-eclipse begins a new cycle of assessment, critique, learning, and clarifying. It can break apart old lies or build new critique.
That solar eclipse opposes Saturn and so reminds us there are big and serious things going on in the world. We need to keep our grown-up underpants on and work with our mature perspective- but not get grim.
Right after the eclipse on Monday, the next two grand trines offer an opportunity for respite, a sense of hope for the next place. The Moon enters Libra, trines Uranus and Pluto. Autumn begins Tuesday at 12:19 PM EDT as the Sun enters Libra and sets off the same grand trine.
As this Sun and Moon also oppose Neptune, feel the magic, but reel in assumptions, projections, or a sense of victimization, all Neptunian shadow sides, and look for the clear ground underneath.
The fall equinox asks us for that miracle of balance, to find that moment of peace when light and dark are balanced, doorways are open, and the heart longs for equilibrium.
Day By Day:
Friday, September 19: Search for the root answer of a problem rather than wallow in its inevitability as Mercury trines investigative Pluto while both Venus and the Moon enter thoughtful Virgo. Our minds can search the dark corners, which is fine if we really are looking for the truth and not for a justification of our position or a reason to be depressed. Stay curious, look deeper. After some revelations early in the day, the mood could level out but watch the tendency to focus on critique. Don't just weed, also nurture life’s garden.
Mercury trine Pluto at 12:26 AM MDT, Moon sextile Mars 2:39 AM, Moon conjunct Venus 6:21 AM, Moon enters Virgo 6:22 AM Venus enters Virgo 6:38 AM, Moon square Uranus 8:59 AM.
Saturday, September 20: Notice unsettling shifts in the wind as Venus squares the cosmic clutch, Uranus. Work with an urge to shift furniture or wardrobe, change politics, or, probably unsuccessfully, try to change somebody else's opinion. Move towards good options, not just away from a bad one. Morning brings a constitutional restlessness, don't take it out on beloveds. Evening grows more serious with questions of who's in charge and what brings security. We can feel old in a bad moment, mature in a good one as the Sun opposes serious Saturn.
Venus square Uranus 9:41 AM MDT, Moon sextile Jupiter 10:33 PM, Sun opposed Saturn 11:45 PM.
Sunday, September 21: The solar eclipse-new Moon in Virgo at 1:53 PM MDT, can trigger endings and beginnings. What is on solid ground probably stays, but eclipses act like astrological acupuncture to trigger a flow where things have been blocked, and can help precipitate action, help ripe fruit fall. They can also bring hidden things into the open to make them obvious- for better or worse. Sort and release trash, clean closets, and thoughts. Avoid a blaming critique; look for solutions. Mid-afternoon, the Moon enters softening Libra, opposes Neptune, and can soften our perspective and help us help one another.
Moon opposed Saturn 12:41 PM MDT, Sun eclipsed 1:53 PM, Moon conjunct the Sun 1:53 PM, Moon enters Libra 3:40 PM, Moon opposed Neptune 5:14 PM, Moon trine Uranus 6:19 PM, Moon trine Pluto 6:33 PM.
Monday, September 22: A Day of paradoxes, of brave support and strange retribution; Autumn commences as the Sun enters Libra at 12:19 PM MDT under a Libra Moon, encouraging equilibrium, all while Mars enters Scorpio, loaning us fresh investigative focus but could also summon up demons of revenge and retribution in stark contrast. Find a middle way. Choose wisely, focus on what brings balance in this moment of equal day and night.
Mars enters Scorpio 1:54 AM MDT, Moon conjunct Mercury 5:35 AM, Sun enters Libra 12:19 PM.

Tuesday, September 23: Daydream, rest, nap, engage personal spiritual practice or creative endeavor, all positive Neptunian occupations as the Sun opposes dreamy Neptune. The danger is distortion of our consensual reality, we may see very clearly how we don't see clearly. Watch for the Neptunian delusion, escapism, and problems with water or other flow. Stay grounded, watch the coffee near the keyboard, and use imagination with the best of intent.
Sun oppose Neptune 6:53 AM MDT, Moon square Jupiter 10:01 AM, Sun trine Uranus 8:54 PM.
Wednesday, September 24: Let's hold peace in our hearts and practice the golden rule, Libra’s motto; create continuity between what we do unto others, and what we’re willing to have done unto us. The Moon joins Mars in broody Scorpio and they both square Pluto early this morning, a pattern which loans us depth and focus but could make our tails twitch, inflame our most subjective anger, and reveal hidden fissures. It could bring accidents or explosions, so prioritize safety first. Or it can give us the concentration to truly tackle real problems if we’re willing to do the work. Do not believe spirals of depression or hatred, do drill down deeper to find the rich connection underneath. Look for a softening of the heart around dinner time as Venus semi-squares Jupiter.
Sun trine Pluto 12:04 AM MDT, Moon enters Scorpio 3:01 AM, Mars squares Pluto 5:51 AM, Moon squares Pluto 5:55 AM, Moon conjunct Mars 5:55 AM, Mercury opposed Ceres 4:48 PM, Venus semi square Jupiter 5:49 PM.
Thursday, September 25: It can be easy to feel hooked by the past and experience sadness, longing, flashes of resentment, all tricky emotions, as Mars semi-squares the South node. Stay in the present, let the past train us for the future but not limit us to repeat old scenarios. Hold hands and look for the silver lining. Invite others out into the Sunshine and meet one another in that garden beyond right and wrong.
Mars semi- square the South node, Moon trine Jupiter 11:06 PM.
